Traditions associated with the occasion include eating foods like dates, leeks, beets, and pomegranates, as well as blowing the shofar, or ram's horn, at synagogues.

For Nowruz, which means a new day, at the beginning of spring, around 73 million people in Iran and 30 million people in Afghanistan celebrate the rebirth of nature for 13 days. It is one of the oldest holidays in history and is sometimes referred to as the Persian New Year. It has been observed for nearly 3,900 years.

Pahela Baishakh

In a state of India known as Bengal, people celebrate a festival called Pahela Baishakh (which roughly translates to ‘first month’) in the month of April. According to their calendar, it marks the start of their New Year. They celebrate it because, during this time, the harvesting season starts. To greet each other on New Year, people use the phrase “Shubho Noboborsha”, which roughly translates to “Happy New Year.”

How I Celebrated New Year?

As the clock struck midnight on New Year's Eve, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation for what the coming year would bring. I had spent the day preparing for the celebrations, decorating my home with sparkling streamers and festive balloons, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

As the countdown to midnight began, we all huddled together, eagerly waiting for the moment when the new year would arrive. When the final seconds ticked away, we erupted into cheers and hugs, ringing in the new year with a sense of hope and joy. I felt grateful to be surrounded by loved ones and was filled with a sense of optimism for what the coming year would bring.

As the night drew to a close and we said our goodbyes, I couldn't help but feel a sense of warmth and happiness, knowing that I had welcomed the new year in the best way possible – surrounded by the people I care about most.

Today we gather to usher in a new bringing, a time to start with new hopes, desires, expectations and New Year resolutions. Those also give is an edge and excitement going into the new year, a fresh start.

Therefore, it is no surprise that people want to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with a joyful celebration with their loved ones. This is what is like the new year celebration. It is a modern form of the festival that has become a ritual performed by urban areas in particular.

Closing of the week-long celebrations starts with Christmas Eve. New year comes the exclamation point. People of all ages and from different walks of life come together, to usher in a year of prospering and health.

The fact Because the new year is usually the last day before returning to work, people try extra hard to enjoy the festivities. Ofter kinds are instructed to report their experiments and present the same when the school reopens after the winter holidays.

The first day of every year is celebrated as New Year. Every year 1st January is celebrated as New Year all over the world. New year day brings joy and happiness to the life of everyone. A new year gives new hopes and opportunities. 

On 1st January to welcome it people starts cheering on the night of 31st December. It is celebrated just like a festival and it brings happiness to the face of millions of people. 

New Year's Day is an optional holiday people also dress colourfully and indulge in fun-filled activities such as singing, playing games, dancing and attending parties. 

Night  clubs, movie theatres, resorts, restaurants, parks and wish each other Happy New Year.  Exchanging messages, greeting cards and gifts are part and parcel of the New Year celebration. 

The New Year signifies that the time has arrived to bid farewell to the by-gone year and  to welcome the New Year. People welcome the new year with lots of joy. However, things are different now and everyone is about the coronavirus pandemic. Still, we are very excited to welcome the New Year 2022.

We want to celebrate the New Year  land stay safe in this pandemic situation. And stay safe in this pandemic situation. The only way to do this is to have a house party and limit the number of guests so that you can enjoy yourself at your best and lower the risk of coronavirus. I wish with the end of this year all bad things like  coronavirus will also end in the  world.

On 31st December at 12-00 mid - night we say good - bye to 2021 and welcome the new year. We wish every relative and friend a happy new year.

Many days in advance we send greeting cards to our relatives and close friends. Through these cards we wish them prosperous 2022. On first January we wish everybody we meet a happy new year.

On the eve of new year we had plenty of fun. Everybody was sitting in front of T.V. set. Delhi Doordarshan relayed a lively programme of Bombay Doordarshan. At the same time we ate; drank and took groundnuts. We see film, folk songs and dance.

On T.V. there was a running commentary on all the important events of 2021. But we did not care to listen this. We were more interested in jokes and fun. We were at the same time anxious to welcome the new year.

On the first January we planned our activity for the new year.
